This program is specially crafted for senior students in Years 10-12, focusing on essential life skills within their pastoral care curriculum. The course aims to enhance employability, learning, literacy, numeracy, critical thinking skills, and instill valuable life knowledge. Consisting of 4 core modules and 4 electives, each module spans 6 hours and is designed to be delivered weekly with catch-up or assessment days every term. Schools have the flexibility to schedule intensive days throughout a semester. Upon completion, students will recognize their skills, showcase employability skills understanding, and compile a comprehensive folio through various activities like in-class tasks, online assessments, self-reflection, and a moderated assignment.

  1. Introduction The Mighty Minds Links to Life program is designed to be used with Years 10 -12 senior students with a focus on life skills during their pastoral care programs. 

  2. Course Aim • Advance the eight employabilityskills. • Develop effective learningskills. • Consolidate literacyskills. • Consolidate numeracyskills. • Improve higher order thinkingskills. • Gain valuable life skills knowledge.

  3. Course Content The Course consists of 4 core modules and 4 elective modules. Each module is designed to be delivered in 6 hours. The modules are designed to be delivered one per week with catch up or assessment days timetabled each term. Some schools may choose to deliver the course through a series of intensive days spread throughout a semester. 

  4. Assessment On completion of this course students will have had the opportunity to • Recognisetheir personal skills and attributes. • Demonstrate an understanding of their own employability skills. • Completed a folio of activities, including in-class activities, online testing, self-reflection and a moderated assignment.
