Goals of the Capstone Project Identify most promising technologies to process livestock manure into feedstock for energy generation and emissions reductions, such as anaerobic digestion, biomass gasification, or any other un- or under-exploited WtE technologies, for practices and facilities of cattle, dairy, and swine farms in Brazil Seek various technology transfer channels and prospects Understand political and economic framework in Brazil in order to identify challenges and opportunities for WtE technologies to be integrated with policies that encourage growth and innovation in the agricultural and energy sectors Build business models for farmers and corporations in Brazil that promotes cost savings and revenue streams simultaneously by adopting sustainable and profitable WtE technologies Identify investment opportunities for both private and public sectors to address Brazil’s urgency for climate change mitigation and potential in renewable energy
