  3. Business Law • Course Description: This course is designed to acquaint students with the basic legal principles common to the business environment and for personal use. Topics include personal concepts to assist students when evaluating contracts, maximizing purchasing power through credit, purchasing appropriate insurance, and renting or owning real estate.   Business concepts such as contracts, ethics, employment, ownership, financial literacy, international legal issues, and consumer concerns are included. Skills in critical thinking are reinforced in this course along with oral and written communication skills.

  4. Course Requirements/Materials: • Be in class every day ready to work • Paper • Pen, pencil • 11/2 inch three ring binder

  5. Class work, Tests Make-up Policy: • If student is absent, he/she will have five working days to make-up assignments either as take home or before and after school. However, test must be made up before or after school. • Maintaining a class notebook with notes, handouts, and pertinent information is required and is to be brought to class each time. • If student is found causing damage to any computer he/she will be reported to the administrative team for proper discipline • Tests will be announced at least a week in advance when practical.

Understand financial, credit, and bankruptcy law and insurance • 5. Understand the roles of financial institutions. • 6. Understand sales, consumer, property, and cyber laws

Class ExpectationsMrs. McKoyComputer Applications I • Everyone will enter the class on time • Everyone will remain in their seat unless instructed otherwise • Everyone will refrain from talking unless instructed otherwise • Everyone will be awake and engaged • Everyone will refrain from eating, drinking and chewing gum • No cell phones or I pods to be displayed or used in class • Everyone will respect each other

  8. Notebook(Binder) • Sections • Warm up • Handouts • Notes • Quizzes • Test

  9. Essay • Write a short essay telling me about yourself. It could include things such as where you are from, hobbies, interest and what you hope to get out of this class. It should be about half a page.

  10. Homework—Quiz Grade • Have your syllabus, student contract and parent letter signed
