MII Background • The Medicaid Integrity Institute (MII) was established by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and US Dept. of Justice in 2007 • CMS opportunity to support Medicaid states by offering training and technical assistance – NO COST TO STATES! • Mission is to raise national program integrity performance standards and professionalism • Training provided to all state Medicaid program integrity employees "Bet on a Sure Thing" PARIS 2012 Training Conference

MII Location • Located at the National Advocacy Center (NAC) on University of South Carolina campus in Columbia, SC • NAC houses many training organizations: • MII • US DOJ Office of Legal Education • National Bankruptcy Training Institute • National District State Attorneys Association • Residential state of the art educational facility tailored for adult professional learners "Bet on a Sure Thing" PARIS 2012 Training Conference
