  2. Symphony benefits • Uses any existing gauge or device as well as manual data entry (Keyboard) • Performs SPC (Statistical Process Control) on measurements it gathers • Integrates completely with SEAMetal 9000W • Multilingual support

  3. Setting up a Job • A “job” consists of several measurement devices / different values from the same device. • For example: A Height Gauge and 1st and 2nd Operation Seam Thickness Gauges. • Each measurement in the job has its own standard (minimum, maximum and nominal value).

  4. A job consists of: • A number of devices • Job code • Heads, sections • Sequence Type • Device information • Standard(min,max,nom)

  5. Setting up a measurement • Once the job is set up, users enter data that will appear in the job report.

  6. Job Sequences • Symphony supports two sequence types: • Regular – measures each value from all heads and sections individually • Simultaneous – measures all values from each head and section at the same time!

  11. The measurement process • Measurements can be stopped and started at will. • Multiple user support • Run and trend warnings • Run and trend errors

  12. Warnings & online statistics • Statistics “on the fly” • Average • standard deviation • maximum and minimum values • On-screen Gauge indicates if value is beyond minimum or maximum range. • LED indicates warnings if statistics indicate a trend in measurements!

  13. Gauge support • Most popular gauges are already supported! • New gauge drivers can be added on demand. • System validates that the gauge is actually connected to the machine. • Symphony supports data entry via keyboard.
