  2. The Bourne Supremacy The Bourne Supremacy is a 2004 UIP action blockbuster , which was directed by Paul Greengrass and produced by Frank Marshall. The film starred Matt Damon and Julia Stiles. The synopsis of the film was that Jason Bourne is framed for a botched CIA operation. He is forced to take up his former life as a trained assassin to survive. The Audience • The target audience for The Bourne Supremacy was 16-34 males.The film was mainly based towards the male genre because its more of a men's action film. • There are many different reasons why the audience would be attracted to the film. • Some reasons are: • The a-list actor • The mystery behind the film’s plot

  4. Reason for the Campaign One of the main reasons for the campaign was to maximize box office takings on the opening weekend. The campaign included 10 to 70 seconds worth of mini ads that advertised the film. The purpose of the campaign is to attract the target audiences attention and to interest them into watching the movie. They do this by using the main character on the poster with a weapon. This gives the audience an feeling of what the films about and what might happen in the film.

  5. Comparisons Because of the genre of The Bourne Supremacy, you can compare any of these films to the film. Just like the Bourne Supremacy poster, each of these posters contain the main characters, a weapon and a setting which give you a small hint of where the film might be set or what the film is about.

  6. Advertising The advertising for the Bourne Supremacy was one of the main reasons for the films success. They used different merchandising techniques to promote the film. In edition to the movie, they had T-Shirts made, Action figures, Xbox games, DVD Collections etc. The aim of the advertising was to gross more than the first film. Universal Studios came up with many different ways to make money off of the film. The budget for the film was $75 million. The box office grossing from the film was $288,500,217.

  8. Success: Statistics show that the Bourne Supremacy (the sequel) made more profit than the first film in the franchise ‘The Bourne Identity’. The Bourne Supremacy became the number one film on its opening weekend, knocking Will Smith’s Isaac Asimov adaptation I Robot off the top spot.Takings were 47% higher than the previous film in the series, the Bourne Identity and competition attracted more than 17,000 entries.
