  7. CN 1 Olfactory • Sensory reception and interpretion of smell

  8. EVALUATION • Test each nostril separately(one occluded) • patients eyes closed • use a couple of odors • begin with least irritating(soap,lotion,food)

  11. EVALUATION • Test each eye separately using letter chart for visual acuity • Peripheral vision - each eye separately using finger • Exam of external eye for pathology

  14. CN 4 Trochlear MOTOR downward movement of eye smallest cranial nerve
