  1. WHAT IS SKIN PURGING?

  2. The word ‘purging‘ undoubtedly can tremble a person, and interestingly enough, often, people tend to blur the line between purging and breakouts. It is quite a common phenomenon, and one can see a wide array of dermatologists talking about it. Although you might be following a quality skincare routine, skin purging can still occur.

  3. CAUSES OF SKIN PURGING As some doctors define it, skin purging is a reaction to an active ingredient that leads to the turnover rate of skin cells. The greater the turnover rate, the dead skin cells start to shed at a highly faster rate. All this happens to make the final outlook of the skin looking young. But before all the good stuff arrives on the surface. A bit of a trial and complex process has to happen. We’ve all heard that no pain, no gain.

  4. BEWARE SKIN CARE INGREDIENTS Skin purging is the reaction of your skin to certain ingredients of a new skincare product. The product might contain some chemical exfoliates (beta-hydroxy acids, retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids) that speed up the rate of skin cell turnover.
