  1. Ever wonder… What job is best for you?

  2. John L. Holland • Created the career theory that argued "the choice of a vocation is an expression of personality" • Said there are six factors that can be used to describe both persons and work environments • Believed a person is not just one type and there are more than "only six types of people in the world" • Created a “test” to determine an individual’s Holland Code

  3. Holland Code • Used to describe 720 different personality patterns • Determines only the two or three most dominant traits • Is also used to describe the “personality” of jobs • Allows us to match people with jobs that will interest them

  4. Mrs. Willhoite has a Holland Code of CSI. Based on the information below, name three jobs (one for each letter of the code) that she may have had during her adult life.

  5. So still wonder… What job is best for you?

  6. “If a match can be made between work-type personality and worksite characteristics, then the individual will be happy and productive.” Your Holland Code is the key to choose a job that may be right for you!
