When you're finished begin thinking about the following questions. What challenge did the main character face? Where did the challenge take place? In what ways does the main character show change? What do you think the main character learns from his experience?

A Mother’s Courage • With your suit partner, read pages 68-71 from your text using the skills mentions in the yellow column on the left of page 68. When you are finished discuss these questions with your partner. Why do you think Monique doesn’t talk about her feelings.
