  25. AME Course Offered  AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING"If a Pilot is Heart of the Aircraft then AME is its Soul. "AME is a job profile with high dignity and a great sense of responsibility. An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is basically a person licensed to certify the aircraft or its component for its airworthiness before its release to service. In other words, an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer carries out and certifies overhaul, major repairs of aircraft, power plants, components and accessories thereof before its release to servicein accordance with the national & international aviation standards. All the Airlines, Maintenance & repair organizations, flying clubs, etc. appoint these AMEs for the certification of their aircrafts and its components as per the Government Rules and Regulations. In terms of employment opportunities, aircraft maintenance engineering is probably the most promising in the aviation sector. ”The duty of an AME is to ensure that the Aircraft is in a fit to fly condition before it takes off the ground. As per the rules laid down by the govt. of India". No aircraft can take off without the certification from qualified Maintenance Engineers. To become an AME one has to undergo an AME course from a DGCA approved Institute. These recognized institutes teach the approved syllabus of DGCA & conduct internal examinations for completion of the course. All AME institutes are allotted limited no. of seats in the categories B1.1 (Mechanical) and B2 (Avionics). No AME institutes can induct more students than that allotted by DGCA. Aspiring Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who have obtained the license can start working with private/ government airlines. So, one who has those goals in mind to become part of the challenging aviation industry, can join the AME course & explore the world of his/her dreams. https://www.haepune.org/

  26. AME Course Duration & Pattern AME COURSE DURATION & PATTERN There is confusion among AME aspirants about the duration of AME course in India as per the latest regulation i.e. CAR-147 (Basic). COURSE DURATION. The duration of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is 03 years, which is divided into six semesters of six months each, covering all the modules of respective category. The entire course consists of basic knowledge training, basic knowledge examination, practical training and practical assessment. Both the Theory and practical training is imparted in each semester and accordingly the semester exams are conducted for theory and practical. Further in this Three years training program all the learners of HAE- PUNE, will be imparted the practical training on airports in Maintenance organisations where they will work in an actual working environment. In this duration of three years, learners have to appear for two different types of examinations i.e. Semester Exams and Modules Exams. https://www.haepune.org/

  27. COURSE PATTERN. 1. Semester Exams: All the applicable Modules are divided into six semesters. In Each semester both theoretical and practical exams are conducted in the college premises under supervision of DGCA approved Training manager. It is mandatory for a student to put a minimum of 90% attendance in every semester to appear for the semester examination and also for promotion to the next semester. The minimum pass marks in any test or examination is 75%. If anyone fails to clear any paper in semester he/she gets another chance to appear for re-semester within 30days. 2. Module Exams: Apart from the semester exams every student has to appear Modular Examinations which is conducted by CEO, DGCA, and Govt. of India in various centers in all-over India.. Four sessions of module exams are conducted in a year and a student can appear for five modules in a session. If anyone fails to clear any module, he/she can reappear in the next session. After successful completion of the theory & practical programme, completion of course (or COC) certificate is awarded. The students after the successful completion of the training are eligible to join as Aircraft Technicians or Trainee Engineers in various domestic or international airlines, like Air India, Jet Airways, Blue Dart Aviation Limited, Spice Jet, Indigo, Go Air, Vistara Airline, Air Asia, Flying clubs, etc., and various other operators in India & abroad. They can also join AMOs (Aircraft Maintenance Organizations) /Maintenance Repair Organizations. https://www.haepune.org/
