  2. Theme Passage Eph 1 3 Blessed be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ

  3. 1) Live It Out: Live in Love Like God- Eph 5:1-2 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us & given Himself for us, an offering & a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

  4. Living in love is more than a single relationship or single act, it should mark all our relationships & all our acts.

  5. I John 2 5 But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. NIV

  6. Jesus came to earth out of love, He healed & fed & taught out of love, He allowed Himself to be nailed to a cross out of love… how could we who call Him our Lord live any other way?

  7. 1) Live It Out: Live in Love Like God- Eph 5:1-2 Am I living out my faith in love or is love just mixed in when I feel like it?

  8. 2) Live It Out: Live in Righteousness Like God- Eph 5:8-11 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, & truth),

  9. 2) Live It Out: Live in Righteousness Like God- Eph 5:8-11 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them…

  10. 2) Live It Out: Live in Righteousness Like God- Eph 5:8-11 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

  11. 2) Live It Out: Live in Righteousness Like God- Eph 5:8-11 14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, & Christ will give you light."

  12. Righteousness is not a list of rules nor is it something we produce; it is willingly taking on the character of God.

  13. Matt 5 14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

  14. Matt 5 15 Nor do they light a lamp & put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, & it gives light to all who are in the house.

  15. Matt 5 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works & glorify your Father in heaven.

  16. Rom 8 6 If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life & peace. NLT

  17. Rom 8 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, & it never will. 8 That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. NLT

  18. Rom 8 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. NLT

  19. 2) Live It Out: Live in Righteousness Like God- Eph 5:8-11 Do I see righteousness as a list or a life? Am I living out righteousness as a list or as a life?

  20. 3) Live It Out: Live in Wisdom Like God- Eph 5:15-18 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

  21. 3) Live It Out: Live in Wisdom Like God- Eph 5:15-18 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

  22. Living wisely means we pay attention to our decisions, directions & desires, not just flowing with the ways of the world. Wisdom is the out-working of exercising self-control.

  23. Col 1 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, & to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom & spiritual understanding;

  24. Col 1 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work & increasing in the knowledge of God

  25. 3) Live It Out: Live in Wisdom Like God- Eph 5:15-18 Am I living out God’s wisdom or am I being pushed & pulled by the influences of the world?
