Industrial Collaborative • Involves significant input on behalf of both partners in designing and undertaking the projects. • College know-how and /or background IP required to deliver the project. • Company pays the college a standard rate for the work undertaken. • Both parties share risk equally. • College partner owns the foreground intellectual property. Industrial Contract • The company has specified a significant body of work to be undertaken. • The college will provide a research service. • The company pays the market rate for the work undertaken. • In this instance the company is carrying all of the risk. • The company owns any resulting foreground intellectual property.
