  1. Virat Kohli Get the Biggest Award of the Cricket World Maukamauka.com– Virat Kohli will be presented with the Prestigious Polly Umrigar Award for the Best International Cricketer 2016-17 and 2017-18. The Awards will be held in Bangaluru on 12 June, Tuesday. India captain Virat Kohli’s phenomenal batting form has fetched him the BCCI’s best cricketer award for two seasons in the 2016-17 season. Kohli amassed 1332 runs in 13 Tests at a phenomenal average of 74, while he averaged 84.22 for his 1516 runs in 27 ODIs during the period. In the six Tests played in the 2017-18 seasons, Kohli scored 896 runs at an average of 89.6, while ODI average stands at 75.50. Words by Virat Kohli “It means a lot to me to win the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for becoming the ICC Cricketer of the Year 2017 and also ICC ODI player of the Year. I won that (ICC ODI player of the Year) back in 2012 also but this is the first time I’m winning the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy and it’s a huge honor for me. It’s probably the biggest award we have in world cricket and two Indians getting it back to back making more special. Last time it was Ash (R Ashwin) and this time I’m getting it so I’m really honored and thank ICC for recognizing all the hard work that we all put in for our respective sides”.
