  1. TSCF congratulates the UK on leaving the EU UK Brexit - The Social Capital Foundation congratulates the UK on finally leaving the EU on January 31, 2020. In spite of attempts by the Theresa May government and mainstream politicians to sabotage the process of leaving, the UK has finally quit on 31 January 2020, thus completing a long process since the 2016 referendum. The future relationship between the UK and the EU will now be negotiated, and the process of a full separation will hopefully complete on 31 December 2020. At the end of this process, the UK should be mostly freed from the EU bureaucratic superstructure, thus regaining the control of its borders and its ability to regulate intelligently immigration. The UK’s long term economic prospects should be better outside the EU, as it will be rid of the yoke of EU bureaucratic regulations. TSCF reminds our analysis developed since 1998, identifying the EU as an attempt to save national elites, whose power is threatened in their own respective national contexts by the modernization of society and the development of the middle class. EU implied restrictions to societal freedom and slow economic growth. The EU is left impoverished and destabilized by the UK leaving it. The EU project should be revisited in the interest of the peoples involved. Visit Us - https://socialcapital.is/news/press_room/tscf-congratulates-uk-for- leaving-the-eu/
