SIP Strategy • What is a SIP? • Defines a guideline for service interfaces • Every service interface shared between a service consumer system and a service provider system uses one SIP • A service can have more than one interface • What is the Scope? • SIPs cover the direct interaction between one service consumer and one service provider

  7. Registries/Repositories • Registry Taxonomy (real time scope creep) • Guidelines Document—currently on hold

  8. Implementation Guidelines Document • Covers documentation/guidelines needed for an enterprise to implement the JRA • Version 0.1 • Would like to illicit dialogue from the group

  9. Issues to be Addressed • What is the scope of the JRA? • Need to validate the Web Services SIP • Test through a pilot which uses a service recommended by the Services Committee • Need to address implementation use cases
