  3. General Info. • The economy is highly dependent on tourism; fish agriculture, and ocean freight industries.

  6. Simple Recipe…. • 1/3 lb. Red currants • ¼ lb. Raspberries (or any other red fruit) • ¼ lb. Red Cherries • 1 tablespoon sugar • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

The “harder” recipe • 1/2 cup Sugar 6 tablespoons Water • 4 teaspoons Orange Juice • 1 - 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch • 2/3 cup Red Wine • 2 tablespoons Black Currant Liquor • 2/3 cup Red Port Wine • 1 Cinnamon Stick • 1 Star Anise • Seeds from 1 Vanilla Bean • Strip of Orange Peel and Lemon Peel • 2 tablespoons Orange Liquor • 1/4 pound of each: Strawberries, Red Currants, Black Currants, Cherries, and Raspberries • 1/8 pound Boysenberries

  8. Directions…. • Wash fruit. Remove stems form currants and remove stones from cherries. Add fruits a pot, along with a little water and the sugar. Cook gently for 10 min. • Mix the cornstarch with a little cold water. Mix in the with the fruit mixture. Allow it to cook for another 2 min to thicken. • Allow the desert to cool slightly. Fill desert dishes or glasses, and put in refrigerator to cool completely .

  9. Serving Suggestions • You should either drizzle the desert with ice-cold milk or Vanilla Sauce. • Also make sure you use berries because it makes it taste better.
