DISCRETE STRUCTURE( TMK3110 ) HARIZA AKMAR BINTI HASSAN UK 11619 -ASSIGNMENT 1-
DISCRETE STRUCTURE • a body of mathematical concepts essential for the mastery of some of the higher-level computer science courses • the conceptual foundation and backbone for computer science since all digital information processing is the manipulations of discrete structures, discrete and a distinct separable element. • These are the abstract mathematical structures used to represent discrete objects and relationships between those objects.
DISCRETE MATHEMATICS • the study of mathematical structures that are fundamentally discrete, in the sense of not supporting or requiring the notion of continuity • Is a mathematic that deal with the discrete objects, that is separated from each other. • Deals with integers, propositions, sets, relations and functions, which are all discrete.
WHY DO I LEARN DISCRETE STRUCTURE? MATHEMATICS? • Can help Science Computer’s people to know to communicate with a computer as designer, programmer, or user • Handle infinity or larger quantity of number. • It’s also related to the problem of correctness of computer programs.
