Exploring Shakespeare: Origins, Plays, and Characters of "Romeo and Juliet"

William Shakespeare, born in 1564 and died in 1616, was a prolific actor, poet, and playwright known for his 37 plays and over 150 sonnets. His works include comedies, tragedies, and histories. At the Globe Theatre, where performances occurred in daylight, audiences participated actively. Notably, in "Romeo and Juliet," a tragedy, Shakespeare weaves a tale of two star-crossed lovers caught between family enmity, exploring themes of love and hate, while inviting reflection on familial approval and the efficacy of violence in resolving conflicts.
