Lessons Learned Faculty Time and Effort→ greater workload (especially student communication) Assign deadlines for discussion responses • Student orientation is important! • cannot provide enough written instruction • repeat instruction in different formats “Breaking the ice” and ensuring the students that they were not alone in their educational experience is essential up front Offer exams in a 24 hour period only; flexibility with test scheduling
