  2. 2011 Select stock and index performances • S&P 500 index ended about flat • Vanguard Euro Index (VGK) was down roughly 12% • Best performer in S&P 500 - Cabot Oil & Gas (COG) up over 100% • Worst performer in S&P 500 - First Solar (FSLR) down about 75%

  3. Stock and index performances in 2011 Hayden’s first boogie board ride represents Euro index. Could have ended worse than it did but it wasn’t pretty, Vanguard Euro index down about 12%. S&P 500 ended up about flat for the year Poppy represents Cabot Oil & Gas Failed flip is First Solar, started out OK but ended up painful being down 75% Making a big splash as top performing S&P 500 stock

  4. 3rd Best S&P 500 Performer – Intuitive Surgical (ISRG) up about 80% Post-recovery beard Intuitive Surgical designs and builds the da Vinci Surgical System which robotically assists in minimally invasive surgery (MIVS). Ironically, I had a similar procedure for my aortic valve replacement…but failed to buy the stock

  5. Commodities were not the headline story like in 2010 but there was still money to be made …and took his earnings to the tailor to buy a suit because cotton was down about 40% for the year! Commodities did not perform nearly as well in 2011 as they did in 2010 but Hayden bought cattle, which was a top performer up over 20%...
