  2. The cube houses Rotterdam Cube houses (Dutch: Kubuswoningen) are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam and Helmond in the Netherlands, designed by architect Piet Blom and based on the concept of "living as an urban roof": high densityhousing with sufficient space on the ground level, since its main purpose is to optimise the space ...

  3. Market Hall Rotterdam The Markthal was designed by architectural firm MVRDV. The grey nature stone building has an archwise structure like a horseshoe. The building has a glass facade on both sides, these are made up of smaller glass windows. The smaller windows are mostly squared and around 1485 millimeters wide. All of these are hung around a structure of steel cables, 34 metres high and 42 metres wide, which makes it the largest glass-window cable structure in Europe. Each facade has 26 vertical and 22 horizontal cables. The facade was designed and installed by Octatube[11]

  4. Mini World Rotterdam A striking aspect is that Miniworld Rotterdam has its own time. A day is much shorter than in the rest of the world, namely only 24 minutes. Then it becomes night and thousands of lights sparkle in the dark. After four minutes, people wake up there, after which everything starts to move again. With a sound effect is announced when the hall is going to be dark, so people can not be shocked.

  5. Erasmus Bridge Erasmusbrug is a combined cable-stayed and bascule bridge in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city, second largest in the Netherlands. The bridge was named after Desiderius Erasmus, a prominent Christian renaissance humanist also known as Erasmus of Rotterdam.

  6. Blijdorp Rotterdam Zoo Diergaarde Blijdorp, also named Rotterdam Zoo, is a zoo in the northwestern part of Rotterdam, one of the oldest zoos in the Netherlands. It is operated by the Stichting Koninklijke Rotterdamse Diergaarde. In 2007, it celebrated its 150th anniversary.

  7. Rotterdam Water Bus Waterbus is the biggest public aquatic transportation company in the Netherlands. We operate in the region of the province of South Holland and carry around 1.9 million passengers every year!

  8. Museum Boijmans Beuningen Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is an art museum in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. It is located at the Museumpark in the district Rotterdam Centrum, close to the Kunsthal and the Natural History Museum. The museum opened in 1849. It houses the collections of Frans Jacob Otto Boijmans and Daniël George van Beuningen

  9. Rotterdam City Hall The town hall on the Rotterdam Coolsingelwas built between 1914 and 1920 to a design by Henri Evers . It is one of the few buildings in the center of Rotterdam that survived the bombing of 14 May 1940 .
