This document outlines the setup procedure for the PACS spectrometer, detailing the integration of all mechanical components for Photovoltaic (PV) observations. The setup is based on predefined conditions using only PACS Internal Calibration Sources, focusing on telescope temperature management during cooldowns. It includes important aspects like spectrometer orbit prologues and epilogues, along with non-standard settings related to temperature control. The overview lists the estimated total operation time of 15.4 hours across six types of Astronomical Observation Requests (AORs), highlighting the implementation status and need for trend analysis tools.

PVSpecSetup (Note: peculiar Proposal → no scientific calibration) H. Dannerbauer, H. Feuchtgruber Motivation: setup the PACS spectrometer including all its (mechanical) components for (PV) observations. • Preconditions: • only PACS Internal Calibration Sources used • on any telescope temperature, when cooling down • Contents: • spectrometer orbit prologues (setup PACS spec for observations) • spectrometer orbit epilogues (switch to safe mode) • non-standard setting (no heating and heating to higher T of CSs)
PVSpecSetup • AOR Overview: • total estimated time is 15.1 hours • six different kind of AORs • in total 46 AORs bias setting: bias_d_red=0.03V bias_r_red=0.01V bias_d_blu=0.08V bbas_r_red=0.01V + largest capacity from latest PV plan V0.83
PVSpecSetup • AOR Overview: • total estimated time is 15.4 hours • six different kind of AORs • in total 46 AORs from latest PV plan V0.83
PVSpecSetup • Status: • all needed AORs are implemented in XHSPOT • currently no modification on design (acc. PV Plan v0.83) planned • now starting to think/discuss about which kind of trend analysis/tools are needed (also for routine phase): e.g. check grating homing, chopper stabilization, heat-up of CSs (already a task for OD63 within SOVT-2)
