Die Industrie für Optische Technologien 2008 • Einbruch im Auslandsgeschäft um 4,5 % • Leichtes Wachstum im Inlandsmarkt von knapp 2 % • Beschäftigungswachstum von knapp 5 % • Gesamtumsatz 2008: • 21,7 Milliarden Euro: -2,5% • Beschäftigte 2008: 119.100 (+4,5 %) • Inlandsumsatz 2008: 7,3 Milliarden Euro: +1,7 % • Betriebe 2008: rund 1.000 Trend 2009:2-stelliger Umsatzeinbruch • Auslandsumsatz 2008: 14,4 Milliarden Euro: -4,5 % • FuE-Quote 2008: 9,7 % • Exportquote 2008: 66,3 % • Anteil innovativer Produkte (jünger als 3 Jahre): 35 % • Die Optischen Technologien ist in Teilbereichen stark von der Wirtschaftskrise betroffen.

  4. Die Industrie für Optische Technologien 2008 • Nach hohen –teilweise zweistelligen- Zuwachsraten in den vergangenen Jahren ist der Gesamtumsatz im Jahr 2008 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 2,5% gesunken.

Die Industrie für Optische Technologien –Prognose 2009 • Insgesamt zweistelliger Rückgang des Umsatzes, sowohl im Inland als auch im Ausland. • Teilbereiche sind stark von der Wirtschaftskrise betroffen (Halbleitermarkt, Produktionstechnik) andere Bereiche weniger (Medizintechnik, Security) • Eine Verbesserung des momentan äußerst schwierigen Umfeldes wird zumindest in den nächsten sechs Monaten nicht gesehen.
