Collaboration with JICA-Net Program • JICA-Net: Japan’s Distance Learning Network • A result of the G8 Kyushu/Okinawa Summit in July 2000 • Establishment of “30 core-IT centers’ initiatives” • Operation started in April 2002 • Three (3) IT core centers (Tokyo and Okinawa, Japan) • Ten (10) satellite centers (China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Raos, Thailand, Vietnam ) • Achievements(in Kitakyushu) • Distance seminar on environmental/occupational health • Kitakyushu – Kuala Lumpur (March 2003, November 2003) • Kitakyushu – Kuala Lumpur – Manila (September 2004)
