Air Resource Management Program • Air Resource Management is responsible for ensuring that the requirements of state laws and the federal Clean Air Act are met by: • implementing air program rules • monitoring Florida's air quality • promoting pollution prevention • providing compliance assistance • coordinating with the efforts of other local, state, and federal agencies. District Air Accomplishments • Streamlined Ambient Air Data Handling by developing an Electronic Ambient Monitoring SOP approved by EPA. • Initiated Power Generation Conference to inform industry, government, and academia air of Air Quality issues (Davis Productivity Award received) • One of 1st District to Complete the Initial Title V Permit Issuance • First District to develop Air Quality Forecasting to advise the public of Air Quality beyond the daily conditions. • School Bus Retrofits Initiative • Pilot District for using EASIIR (rugged field computers) to streamline inspection. • One of the founding members that establish the Central Florida Clean Air Team • Integration of P2 Projects in Compliance Assurance Activities May 4, 2011| 20
