  3. Cara penyelesaian • Prosesiterasidihentikanbilanilaiuntuksetiapxi(i=1 s/d n) sudah = nilai xi padaiterasisebelumnya. • Atauprosesiterasidihentikanbilaselisihnilai xi (i=1 s/d n) dengannilai xi padaiterasisebelumnyakurangdarinilaitolerasierror yang ditentukan.

  4. Hati-hatidalammenyusunsistempersamaan linier ketikamenggunakanmetodeiterasi Gauss-Seidel ini. Perhatikansetiapkoefisiendarimasing-masingxi padasemuapersamaandi diagonal utama (aii). Letakkannilai-nilaiterbesardarikoefisienuntuksetiap xi pada diagonal utama. Masalahiniadalah ‘masalah pivoting’ yang harusbenar-benardiperhatikan, karenapenyusun yang salahakanmenyebabkaniterasimenjadidivergendanhasilmenjadisalah.
