  2. While you are digging in your garden you notice that many worms are just below the surface. Worms are an example of which type of organism? Decomposer – Eats dead plant and animal remains

  3. Wolves hunt in packs, or groups, in order to catch their prey. A wolf is an example of a __________, or an animal that hunts prey. Predator

  4. An animal’s diet consists of all of the things an animal eats. Some animals have adapted to eat only one type of living organism, while others can eat various types of living organisms. Based on their diet, animals are sorted into groups. Identify and describe three of these groups. Omnivores – Eat both producers and consumers Herbivores – Eat only producers Carnivores – Eat only consumers Scavengers – Eats the remainder of an animal’s dead prey
