  2. Getting Started Step 1 of 12 Log into AKO

  3. Step 2 of 12 Click My Forms My Forms

  4. Step 3 of 12 From My Forms portal, select the form you need After typing in the form number Click the Search button

  5. Click on the form you need, The words will change color when you put the curser over it in order to access form. Step 4 of 12 When you click the Search button a separate window will open with your search results

  6. Step 5 of 12 Once you click on the form Pure Edge will open. You must completely fill in the form before you insert your digital signature. Click on the signature box CAUTION: Routing of documents between Rated Soldier, Rater, Reviewer, Intermediate Rater, and Senior Rater remains IAW AR and DA PAM 623-3.

  7. Step 6 of 12 After clicking the signature box you will get a notice letting you know that this is as binding as an original signature. Click OK

  8. Step 7 of 12 You will then get a box where the digital signatures are stored Click Sign CAUTION: If your “Sign” box is not illuminated then ApproveIt Desktop Software has not been loaded on your system. * It can be loaded from AKO if you have permissions or it can be ‘pushed’ by our DOIM to your system.

  9. Step 8 of 12 On the next screen click on the box “Sign using… Then select Certificate/Smart Card Click “Sign using… Then “Certificate/Smart Card

  10. Step 9 of 12 Next you will select your Certificate. If you have two, it does not matter which you pick. Then click OK. Select Certificate Click “OK”

  11. The next screen verifies your identity. Step 10 of 12 Click on “Sign”

  12. Step 11 of 12 Next screen Validates Signature. Click “OK”

  13. Step 12 of 12 Signature complete. You may now email to the next approval authority. Click EMAIL and Your outlook will Open with file attached
