  2. Different Aspects of Poverty • There are many things that affect poverty. Many of which are slacking off and being lazy, procrastinating, dropping out, and truancy.

  3. Slacking Off And Being Lazy • Slacking off is where you do the work, but at the same time, you don’t try your hardest and don’t really care what happens. This dramatically lowers your grade. Then again, being lazy is pretty much the same thing. When students become lazy, they don’t work at all and eventually fail, causing your GPA (Grade Point Average) to drop.

  4. Procrastinating • Procrastinating is where you wait until “the last minute” to do your work. This causes stress, fatigue, and overall, worsens your grade. Studies show that students who procrastinate tend to have an average GPA of a 2.9. Most colleges around the country will only accept a 3.5 or above. For even better colleges, they want a 4.0 or higher!

  5. Dropping Out • Dropping out of high school is one very tough decision. Dropping out is not a very wise one at that either. When one considers dropping out, they are taking the chance at never holding a sustainable career for later in life. 90% of drop outs aren’t successful in life. Most become drug dealers, thieves, and even murderers.

  6. Truancy • Truancy is a massive loss of school. Commonly known as “ditching”, truancy can be resulted with going to court. You can be fined and end up going to a juvenile hall. 45% of students who have truancy on their records end up failing high school.
