  3. The Miracles • One of Motown’s first groups • Also, one of Motown’s most successful groups of the 1960’s. • Originally started as an school yard group performing doo-wop on the street corners of Detroit.

  4. Victories and Defeats • At first, The Miracles struggled to produce a successful hit. • However, their 4th single, “Shop Around”, reached #1 on the R&B charts.
