  2. To those who have had the pleasure of having a pet around knows what it means to have one. Dogs are commonly referred to as, "Man's Best friend" because of the loyalty, affection, and love they have for their humans. It's often said that dogs are man's best friend, in fact, Josh Billings once said that a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself. If you don't believe Josh then you probably haven't lived or interacted enough with dogs yet. This research on how we benefit from human-animal bonds suggests that dogs are more than just a friend to us. Most clients of veterinary practices have shown improvement in mental health with animal-assisted activities. A study done by Southern California Medical Clinic shows how dog owners or people who have dogs in their households live healthier and longer lives. They highlighted how having a dog around decreases the risk of having a cardiovascular disease Isn't that incredible in itself? Even if you are not a cuddly type person, just being around these canines will avail you of the physiological and health benefits in one way or the other. Let us see in what ways a concerning dog can help you:

  3. Just stepping out for a walk with your dog could be an adventurous activity. Dogs can inspire you to rediscover the pleasure of taking a walk, jogging, playing ball, or maybe just lying on the ground and bathing in the sun on a winter morning. Mindful Behavior And Living in The Moment Spending time with dogs who have a mindful reaction to sounds, sights, and smell can motivate us to appreciate the joy of small things. You can take a cue from your dog on how to go about your day, I'm sure following their example once in a while or even thinking about them could remind you to be grateful for what you have and savor each moment.

  4. There are over 140 animal therapy teams in southern California sponsored by the Animal Health Foundation. Various medical clinics, like Animal Health Foundation, have been using animals as therapeutic partners for their clients and even allow pet owners to volunteer as partners for the foundation. Relieve Stress and Anxiety Most of us are familiar with how stressful everyday life could be while maintaining the work health balance. With more awareness of the psychological benefits of having a pet around, various companies like Amazon and Atlantic Health System host a pet-friendly workspace to have a stress-free and playful environment in the office. The University of British Columbia in animal therapy sessions, provided 246 university students to interact and pet the dogs. The results obtained based on the survey showed a significant decrease in the stress levels of the students before and after the therapy session.

  5. It's a believable fact that dog owners go out more often for hiking or jogging in the company of their fluffy partner than otherwise. If you go out for a walk even for a few minutes, these adventurous creatures would compel you to go to the greener places. Going out with your dog in a park, woods, or a beach will bring you a refreshing experience and give you a good excuse to lure into the natural world. Dogs Help us Connect to Nature More studies have begun to explore the human-animal bond benefits. For centuries, the relationship between dogs and men has evolved and dogs have become more attuned to human emotions and feelings There is a lot left to learn from these devoting and cuddling animals Source: https://bit.ly/2Olua0q
