  2. NATIONAL THEME

  3. ONLINE AFFILIATION • Opened August 1 • National - $9 w/ 12 member minimum • State - $4 w/12 member minimum • Advisors also pay dues • Nationals accepts payments via– Credit Card, Purchase Order, Personal Check. • Nationals reimburses the states.

  4. 70th ANNIVERSARY • Happy Birthday FCCLA! • Watch for celebration ideas throughout the year – especially during FCCLA week.

  5. Important Dates –Changed to ease process Adviser/Student Code of Conduct & Medical Release New forms need to be signed and submitted yearly. Email or fax them to the state office. File the originals. . FORMS

  8. Dress Code • Refer to the National Web site. Acceptable Females: White, black, or red oxford or polo shirts Black or Khaki slacks/pants/capris (no shorts) Dress shoes or sandals Males: White, black, or red oxford or polo shirts. Black or Khaki pants (no shorts) Dress Shoes

  9. DISTRICT MEETINGS • State Office Needs 1. Planning Meeting Dates & Locations 2. District Meeting Dates 3. STAR Events Competition Dates Each chapter is allowed two voting delegates for Election of District President Bylaw changes

  10. District Mtg. cont. • Who attends District Planning Mtg.? • All current District officers should • Encourage “New” officers and officer candidates. • However: They are to have no input in any of the decision making process. Role – Observer only.

  11. COMPETITIVE EVENTS • National Guidebook is to be online in early September. • ND FCCLA • Does not offer all National Competitive Events. • Refer to the 2014-2015 ND STAR Events List ***Changes*** • Chapter in review Display/Portfolio – Sr. Level only • Interpersonal Communication added

  12. Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) • In 2 years, the total raised towards the endowment- $70,363.50  • Leaving $29,636.50, yet to be raised. • State Officer team Goal is to fulfill the obligation this year. They believe that with a little extra effort on everyone's part • It Is Possible !!!

  13. COMMUNICATIONS The office is trying to move to more electronic means. • Yapp used at Nationals. • Remind formerly (Remind 101) • Will be used with the DP/DP Advisers/State Officers. • Meetings can be done via WebEx

  14. Mailings will be done electronically. • August 20, 2014. Look for a message from me. • If for some reason you do not receive it, please let the office know, so we can remedy the situation.
