הסטוריה הצהרת בלפור הצהרת בלפור היא מסמך שנחתם על ידי שר החוץ הבריטי, ארתור ג'יימס בלפור, ב-2 בנובמבר1917, ועיקרו - הכרזה כי בריטניה תומכת בהקמת בית לאומי ליהודים בארץ ישראל. התנאי המוקדם להצהרה היה כי לא ייעשה דבר שיפגע בזכויותיהם האזרחיות והדתיות של תושביה הלא יהודים של הארץ. בתמורה לבית הלאומי על הציונים לעשות כל מאמץ לאחד את יהודי העולם לתמיכה בבריטניה, כנגד גרמניה במהלך מלחמת העולם הראשונה, שהייתה בעיצומה.
