  1. Inquiry Cubes Activity How Observant Are You?

  2. No one may touch the cube. • NO CHEATING! Do not attempt or succeed at looking at the bottom side of the cube! • The cube must not be moved by ANY means! This includes, but is not limited to: • bumping the table, blowing the cube, fanning the cube with a hand or other object, sighing or sneezing on the cube, etc. • You cannot leave your seat to look at other sides of the cubes. You may only lean left or right. • Behinds must stay FIRMLY on seats! The Unbreakable Laws

Your goal as a group is to look at the cube in front of you and decide as a team what the bottom side looks like. • Each person should contribute to the conversation. • Everyone should describe the side(s) they see to their table so that all know what the cube looks like without having to touch and/or move the cube. • Your group will look for patterns in order to decide what could possibly be on the bottom of the cube you are currently looking at. • BE OBSERVANT! Your success depends on how well you observe the cube and your participation, cooperation, and collaboration with your group! Rules of the Activity

  4. Before we begin, your team must choose a secretary. The secretary must write down all discussion topics, things observed about the cube, and ideas formed by the group. • The catch: • The secretary MAY NOT TALK during this exercise! • The secretary is an outside observer at ALL times! He/she may not share his/her thoughts on the cube. This ensures that he/she listens carefully to his/her group and can accurately capture his/her team’s ideas. There can only be one…

  5. Remember not to move/touch the cube AT ALL! • Secretaries, get your pens/pencils, paper and ears ready to record your team’s thoughts! You will be reporting them to us at the end of the exercise! • GOOD LUCK! You have 15 minutes…
