7. Definicija “Projekta” i “Upravljanja projektima” prema PMBOK-u Projekt je vremenski ogranicena aktivnost poduzeta radi stvaranja jedinstvenog proizvoda, usluge ili rezultata.
Za razliku od projektnog posla operativni posao je repetitivan i kontinuirano se odvija. Zajednicka svojstva operativnog i projektnog posla su da ih izvode ljudi, da imaju limitirane resurse i da se planiraju i kontroliraju.
Upravljanje projektima (Project Management) je primjena znanja, vještina, alata i tehnika u projektnim aktivnostima radi dosizanja projektnih zahtijeva.
