  1. Hi kids, I’m Dora the explorer! I have a letter in my bag just for you. Tap on the letter and you’ll hear all about my next exploration! I want you to join in the fun too!

  2. Dear Miss Finnegan’s class, I was playing outside on a Tuesday morning with Boots and we were bored bored bored. Isa very smartly reminded us that we do always love a good narrative. Boots and I agreed with her, but then, we realised, “wait a second, what’s a narrative?”. We wanted YOU to join our class so that we can find out together! Love Dora

  3. Dora’s Classroom! Click on me to brainstorm what is a narrative and what is its purpose? Can you help me un-jumble the meaning of some words? I’ll explain the structure so you can write your very own narrative! I have an example narrative to share!

  4. What’s a narrative? Once you’ve written down all your ideas, click on me to go back to class.

  5. Noun Adjective Verb Adverb Conjunction Sentence • A group of words that has a verb and a complete meaning. • A doing, being, or having word. • A person, place or thing. • A describing word that adds meaning to a noun or pronoun. • Adds meaning to verbs, adjectives and other adverbs. • A joining word Once you’ve un-jumbled these words, click on me to go back to class.

  6. Narrative Structure Once you’ve finished reading, click on me to go back to class.

  7. Cinderella Once upon a time there was a girl called Cinderella. She lived with her stepsisters. They were very bossy. She had to do all the housework. One day an invitation to the ball came to the family. Her stepsisters would not let her go. Cinderella was sad. The stepsisters went to the ball without her. The Fairy Godmother came and helped her to get to the ball. Cinderella danced with the prince. The bell went when it was 12 o’clock. Cinderella took off her smelly shoes and went to the beach. She changed her name to Cindersmella. Once you’ve finished reading, click on me to say goodbye to Dora.

  8. Oh wow! That was fun fun fun. But I’m sad our journey is over. How about your class writes me a narrative of your very own. Then Boots and I surely wont get bored again! Can’t wait to hear your story!
