Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists The Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists (FSHP), founded in 1947, is a private, not-for-profit, professional pharmacy association of pharmacy practitioners that promotes and supports the continual improvement of pharmaceutical care and the profession of pharmacy as an essential component for the delivery of health care.

  3. FSHP Membership FSHP membership includes pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, college of pharmacy faculty and associates. FSHP members serve in hospitals and health-systems, ambulatory (outpatient) clinics, home infusion services, hospices, other organized healthcare organizations and governmental agencies.

Affiliation With A Premium Brand FSHP is the third largest state affiliate of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) FSHP is a recognized leader and provider of quality continuing education programs, leadership development opportunities and advocacy for the specialized practice of health-system pharmacy

Affiliated Regional Societies Members may select from among twelve (12) geographically convenient Affiliated Regional Societies: Capital (Tallahassee), Central (Orlando), Eastern Shores (Daytona / Ormond Beach), North Central (Gainesville / Lake City), Northeast (Jacksonville / St. Augustine), PalmBeach (West Palm Beach / Jupiter), Sarasota, South Florida (Miami), Southeast (Ft. Lauderdale / Broward), Southern Gulf (Ft. Myers / Cape Coral), Southwest (Tampa / St. Petersburg) and Treasure Coast (Vero Beach / Port St. Lucie).

FSHP is formally represented before the Florida Executive Branch (Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, Board of Pharmacy and the Florida Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics Program) and the Florida Legislative Branch (Senate and House of Representatives

  12. Continuing Professional Development FSHP members enjoy reduced registration rates at quality CE programs on a local, regional and statewide basis. FSHP is an approved provider by the Florida Board of Pharmacy (FL BOP) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
