  4. Climate Change • Climate – The weather all year around. For example: Abu Dhabi’s climate is hot and humid • Climate change is when the climate changes. • The climate is getting hotter. • The climate is changing because of pollution.

  5. Pollution What is Pollution? Pollution is when the air, earth or water are made dirty (polluted) from garbage or exhaust gases. For example, cars cause pollution

  6. Why does it matter? • The climate is changing, so: • The poles are melting, so the sea level goes up • This makes more floods • Polar bears are drowning

  7. Why does it matter? • The climate is changing, so: • It is harder to grow crops like potatoes • People will die of hunger

  8. Why does it matter? • The climate is changing, so: • There are more natural disasters • Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods

  9. What can we do about it? • Save the earth by: • Close the tap while brushing your teeth • Take short showers • Turn off your TV • Don’t throw paper in the play ground but throw it in the bins • Turn off the AC when its not hot • Turn off the lights when you leave a room (even in school) • RECYCLE
