  1. Dental Crowns little rock Ar are a type of permanent restorative treatment to restore damaged tooth shape, size and strength after a cavity (or decay), infection or injury. The crown fits over the remaining natural tooth structure and can be fabricated from various materials, including porcelain, ceramics or metals. Typically, the first step in preparation for the crown is to anesthetise the natural tooth and gum tissue around it. This is followed by the removal of some of the natural tooth structure, reshaping of the chewing surface and sides of the tooth and the application of a core filling. The core filling can be made from a variety of dental restorative materials, including composite resin, amalgam (metal filling material) and glass ionomer cement. However, the most common is a high strength dental ceramic such as Empress or Procera. These crowns have a strong, durable core of pressed feldspathic porcelain and a highly translucent, lifelike outer layer that is colour matched to the adjacent teeth. The porcelain is fused to the underlying lithium disilicate glass ceramic which allows the crown to be fabricated in very thin layers and still withstand biting and chewing forces. These are the strongest Crowns little rock Ar available and ideally suited for molars (especially those in the back of the mouth) as they do not wear down the opposing natural teeth as easily as other crown types. However, they do have a metallic appearance and may not suit those with sensitive gums or those who suffer from teeth grinding and jaw clenching.
