St. Matthews Primary School Number 24 Thursday 18th April, 2013 www.stmatthews.cumbria.sch.uk AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS TUESDAY – GARDENING 3.15 to 4.15 TUESDAY – SATs CLUB 3.15 to 4.15 THURSDAY – FILM CLUB Toy Story 3.15 to approx 5pm THURSDAY – CRICKET CLUB FOR Y2,3,4,5&6 ALL CLUBS £1 EACH EXCEPT SATs CHAMPAGNE & CHOCOLATE LADIES NIGHT FRIDAY 22nd MARCH A massive thank you to everyone who supported and helped to organise our Champagne and Chocolate night, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and we raised £578 which will be shared between the school and pre-school. Thank you TRIP TO TULLIE HOUSE As part of our World War 2 topic this term, on Friday 26th April, we are taking the whole school to Tullie House Museum in Carlisle. Years 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 will be taking part in a WW2 workshop. Reception children will be doing a different activity as the workshop is not aimed at their age group. We will be travelling by coach, Mrs Atkinson will do packed lunches. Children should wear their school uniform and will need their coats. INDIA DAY On Tuesday Y1 and Y2 visited St Michael's School at Bothel. They took part in an India themed day. They did lots of different activities and met children from the other small schools in our area. TRI GOLF Congratulations to our Juniors who took part in the Tri Golf Tournament at Beacon Hill School on Tuesday. They competed against Richmond Hill School and other small schools and came second. Well done. MILK MONEY Milk money for this term is £5 each for all children except reception (provided free of charge) BAGS 2 SCHOOL Time to clear out those cupboards, Bags 2 School are coming on Friday 3rd May. Bags are being sent home today, if you need anymore, please let us know.
