Susan Taylor - Deputy Chief Procurement Officer

Susan Taylor studied at the New York Institute of Technology and received her MBA in Management with distinction. From 1983 to 1985, she worked as a buyer at Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. Some of her duties included preparing and issuing solicitations, negotiating, evaluating sealed bids, awarding and administering contracts for the purchase of hardware, electrical equipment, tires and pipes. During her tenure here, she received the General Manager’s Award for outstanding performance in the award of contract dollars to minority-owned firms.

  1. Susan Taylor Deputy Chief Procurement Officer Susan Taylor served in the Senior Executive Service as the Deputy Chief Procurement Officer for the Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs.

  2. Susan Taylor Highly Skilled Procurement Leader Susan Taylor holds an MBA in Management from the New York Institute of Technology. After graduating with an MBA, she has held several prominent posts in various offices. Ms. Taylor has served as the Deputy Chief Procurement Officer in the Senior Executive Service, for the Veterans Health Administration. She handled the oversight, compliance, operational execution and support of other acquisition organizations within the Veterans Health Administration.

Susan Taylor Contract Negotiator for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission For two years, Susan Taylor served as the contract negotiator for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Bethesda, MD. During her time here she handled negotiating contracts for several multifaceted and specialized nuclear research.

  4. Susan Taylor Associate Director of Contracting Susan Taylor served as the Associate Director of Contracting at the Army Contracting Center of Excellence for five years from 2002 to 2007. In her role as Associate Director of Contracting, she provided operational and management direction for numerous divisions within the Contracting Directorate amounting to over $1 billion in annual purchases. She also oversaw acquisition strategies and managed internal controls of contracting.
