CMEI Mission and Scope • R&D in enterprise integration for • Decision-making and control of when supplier and customers are distributed • Integration using open information and control systems to enable rapid interaction with suppliers and customers • Integration from sensors to supplier (S2S) efficient use of resources

S2S Lab – IMEInc.com • State-of-art test-bed for experimentation and advanced research in S2S technology • Enterprise integration arm for manufacturing facilities in Penn State • Eg. as SMP servers, clusters, high-speed networks, sensor networks, open architecture controllers, and enterprise software (e-business, SCM, ERP, APS, MES) • Serves as a “neutral” test-bed for industry partners for experimentation
