Communication is 2 way. • Listen to their ideas, there might be something you can work with. • Conversation is best with 2 or more feeding it. • Try and keep it on the topic, in a group the more vocal will steel the attention for themselves and promote their views. • Take your time, you don’t have to tell them everything. Encourage their curiosity. Esthers’ two banquets. • I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, be ye therefore wise as serpents, harmless as doves. Matt 10:16 • Follow up their interest, or prepare another approach for next time. • Prov 12:27 Slothful roasts not that which he took in hunting… (Invite to a meeting.)

  5. Testimony • Tailor it to your audience. If they aren’t Catholic it may not be helpful telling them about your life there before you got saved; or shocking them about your criminal activities. • We have found the pearl of great price, that we have sold our old life to purchase. They are missing out. • If they don’t see that the Lord is important to you, He wont be to them.

  6. What about separation. • Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. 1 John 2:15 • They (you) are not of the world,…I pray not that thou should take them out of the world, ..John 16:15 • Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed…Romans 12:2 • Have no fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness.. Eph 5:11 • We don’t trust them, don’t want to be them and don’t want the world’s ways in the church; we do want to see God change them.

Why should someone come along? • Busy with careers, family, friends, sport, hobbies, parties, restaurants, movies, gym, facebook friends. • Not happy, lonely in a crowd, lack peace, fear death, fear phobias, sickness, stress, don’t know what they should be doing, what am I here for? broken hearted, guilt, helpless and burdened…. 10. Swearing • Has no longer any meaning, not considered as offensive by many in the world. Therefore it is heard on TV, at the movies, on the radio, at work, at school……can’t help themselves. • It is like a foreign language we don’t have to speak. • We have to toughen up for the sake of saving souls. • Be careful not to subject a saint to something that may offend them.
