Why have we introduced the grant? a) Rydyn ni’n hoffi rhoi ffurflenni cais hir i chi eu llenwi Because we like making you fill in lengthy application forms b) Roedd Gweinidogion Cymru’n meddwl y byddai’n braf cael menter ar y cyd Because the Welsh Ministers thought it would be nice to have a joint initiative c) Mae cynnwys y gymuned mewn addysg yn gwneud gwahaniaeth mawr i ddeilliannau plant sy’n byw mewn tlodi Because community involvement in education makes a significant difference to outcomes for children living in poverty

Plygu rhaglenni Programme Bending • Mae Llywodraeth Cymru’n defnyddio dull “plygu rhaglenni” i gyflawni ei ymrwymiad i Drechu Tlodi drwy’r rhaglen Cymunedau yn Gyntaf a’r cymorth y mae’n ei roi i gymunedau difreintiedig • The Welsh Government is using “programme bending” to deliver its commitment to Tackling Poverty by means of the CF Programme and the support it provides to deprived Communities

Plygu rhaglenni Programme Bending Mae Llywodraeth Cymru’n gweithio i addasu polisïau ar draws Adrannau i fodloni anghenion y cymunedau mwyaf difreintiedig The Welsh Government is working to adapt policies across Departments to meet the needs of the most deprived communities Mae Cronfa Arian Cyfatebol Amddifadedd Disgyblion Cymunedau yn Gyntaf yn enghraifft o gydweithio rhwng adrannau Llywodraeth Cymru, cymunedau a darparwyr gwasanaethau The CF PDG Match Funding Grant is an example of collaborative working between Welsh Government departments and communities and service providers

Mae Cronfa Arian Cyfatebol Amddifadedd Disgyblion Cymunedau yn Gyntaf yn hybu mwy o gydweithio rhwng ysgolion a chlystyrau Cymunedau yn Gyntaf i wella deilliannau pobl ifanc sy’n byw mewn tlodi a chyfraniad eu rhieni/gofalwyr. The Match Fund supports greater collaboration between schools and CF Clusters to improve the outcomes for young people who live in poverty and support better engagement of their parents/careers.

Bydd y Gronfa’n cefnogi prosiectau sy’n ceisio:It will support projects which aim to: gwella’r cysylltiad rhwng cymunedau ac ysgolion improve community engagement in schools helpu plant i gyflawni yn yr ysgol support children to do well at school hwyluso’r broses o symud ysgol ease school transitions gwella cyfraniad y teulu at addysg eu plant improve family engagement in their children’s education

Nodau pellach Further aims • Mae’r gronfa’n ceisio cynyddu nifer yr ysgolion sy’n gweithio gyda chlystyrau Cymunedau yn Gyntaf, ac adeiladu ar y cysylltiadau da yn y clystyrau lle mae’r gwaith hwn eisoes yn digwydd • The Fund aims to increase the number of schools working with CF Clusters and builds on the existing good working relations within CF Clusters where this work already happens

Nodau pellach Further aims Roedd angen cymorth pellach yn nifer o ardaloedd Cymunedau yn Gyntaf am sawl rheswm, gan gynnwys yr anawsterau a gafodd rhai ardaloedd wrth ddatblygu eu clystyrau a’r ffaith bod y Grant Amddifadedd Disgyblion wedi’i gyflwyno ar rybudd cymharol fyr yn ystod y broses o ddatblygu’r clystyrau In many CF areas further support was needed to build these relations for a number of reasons including the difficulties experienced by some CF areas in developing their Clusters and the relatively short notice of the introduction of PDG funding during the development of CF Clusters

Which of these is eligible expenditure for the Match Fund? • Hyfforddi disgyblion blwyddyn 6 i fentora disgyblion blwyddyn 7 Training 6th formers to mentor Year 7 pupils b) Prosiect rhifedd a llythrennedd ar gyfer pob disgybl sy’n symud ysgol A numeracy and literacy project for all transition pupils c) Prynu i-pads ar gyfer athrawon Buying iPads for teachers

A ellir defnyddio’r arian cyfatebol i helpu disgyblion sy’n byw y tu allan i ardaloedd Cymunedau yn Gyntaf?Can pupils living outside CF areas be supported by the Match Fund? • Na, nidydyntyngymwys No, they are ineligible • Gellir, osydyntyngymwysigaelprydauysgol am ddim ac ynmyndiysgolsy’nrhedegprosiect a arienniro’rGronfa Arian CyfatebolAmddifadeddDisgyblion. Yes, if they are eligible for free school meals and attend a school that is running a CF PDG match funded project • Mae moddhelpuunrhywddisgyblsy’nmyndiysgolsy’nrhedegprosiect a arienniro’rGronfa Arian CyfatebolAmddifadeddDisgyblion. Yes, any pupil attending a school that is running a CF PDG match funded project can be supported

  21. Y camau nesaf Next steps • Bydd y cylch ychwanegol hwn yn cynnig £1 miliwn o gyllideb Cymunedau yn Gyntaf ar gyfer y cyfnod rhwng Ebrill 2014 a Mawrth 2015 • This additional round will offer £1m from the CF budget for the period from April 2014 to March 2015
