  1. We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Passion Socio-Economic Coordinator • Activities • This position reports to the Technical Manager and he/she is responsible for the coordination and support to all socio-economic analyses that will support CI`s long term strategic outcomes. Key activities are: • Support the development of a private-public investment facility to promote green development and low carbon emission businesses, according to CI Strategic Plan. • Provide advice and support to key Government and Civil Society partners in the design, development and implementation of national systems for valuating natural capital and estimating the effects of climate change on national economy. • Contribute to the design and implementation of green economic development plans for national and subnational governments. • Conduct network analyses to identify key stakeholders in the area that CI works; conduct socio-economic assessments at all spatial scales; develop threat and cost-benefits analyses by using socio-economic data. • Monitor, analyze private sector activities identifying opportunities and threats for engagement and green economic development. • Experience writing proposals for international donors. • Education and Skills • MSc. in Environmental Economy, or BSc. in Economic Sciences with equivalent skills and experience. • At least three years of experience in socio-economic analysis at several spatial scales, economic valuation, community work and local socio-economic analysis. • Knowledge of economic valuation of ecosystems services and expertise in local development projects is desirable. • Capacity to lead, plan, manage and supervise technical and operational project activities. • Experience working with local communities (indigenous and non indigenous). • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both in English and in Spanish. • Conditions • Competitive salary and benefit package • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team of national and international experts. • At least twelve domestic and/or international trips per year. • Interested qualified candidates please send Resume for immediate and confidential consideration to s.machado@conservation.org no later than July 5th(please specify code EP_14_002_COORDINATOR).
