  5. FACILITY PROVIDED TO THE WORKERS TO ACQUIRE/LEARN NEW SKILL FOR ALTERNATIVE JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN TIME OF RETRENCHMENT / CLOSURE THROUGH A RECOGNIZE AND CERTIFIED INSTITUTION / COLLEGES.

  6. UNION STRATEGIES 1) COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT HOW ? • THROUGHT NEGOTIATION • INFORMATION COLLECTION AND DESSIMINATION • CREATE AWARENESS & COLLECTIVE VOICES FROM MEMBERS

  7. 2) ESTABLISHMENT OF CORPORATIVES WHY? • ALTERNATIVES JOB OPPORTUNITIES • CREATION OF JOBS

  8. 3) EDUCATION HOW AND WHY ? • EDUCATE MEMBERS ON MACRO AND MICRO ECONOMIC AND INDUSTRIAL ENTITIES SITUATIONS. • REVIEW EDUCATION CURICULUM TO MEET CHANGING NEEDS WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO TECHNICAL/VOCATIONAL TRAINING • RETRAINING PROGRAMME FOR THOSE ALREADY IN THE WORKFORCE TO MEET CHANGING NEEDS

  9. ALL TRAINING PROGRAMME SHOULD BE AVAILABLE IN RURAL AND REGIONAL AS WELL AS URBAN CENTRES. • ALL TRAINING PROGRAMS TO ENSURE EQUITY TO ACCESS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES.

  10. 4) LOBBY HOW & TO WHOM • WORK WITH OTHER NGOs • USE OF MASS MEDIA SUCH AS LOCAL NEWSPAPERS ETC. • DISTRIBUTION OF PHAMPLETS AND BROCHURES IN LANGUAGES. • SIGNATORIES CAMPAIGN.

  12. REFLECTION ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A BIG SHIP CALLED TITANIC SHIP GOING FOR VOYAGE. IN THE SHIP WERE MANY PEOPLE, INCLUDING A FAMILY OF HUSBAND, WIFE, SON, DAUGHTER AND MOTHER. THE SHIP EXPERIENCE A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT AND STARTING TO SINK. ONLY ONE SMALL BOAT WERE AVAILABLE AND ITS ONLY CAN SAVE 2 PERSON. IF YOU WERE GIVEN A CHANCE WHO WOULD YOU WANT TO SAFE
