  2. Services Offered • District Court Mediation • Peer Mediation • Facilitation, Third Party Neutral, for: • Department of Social Services • Medicaid • Teen Court • Mediation Training • Peer Mediation • Home Owner Association Mediation Services

  3. Duties • District Court Mediation • Co-Mediate civil cases in New Hanover & Pender County District Court • Assist with intake of defendant & complainant in civil court cases. • Assist with paper work for intake, mediation, & release of civil court cases.

  4. Duties • Facilitation, Third Party Neutral • Department of Social Services • Sit in on DSS cases. • Take and compare notes with head facilitator. • Review cases before and after meetings. • Medicaid • Sit in on Medicaid cases. • Take and compare notes with head facilitator. • Review cases before and after meetings.

  5. Duties • Teen Court • Serve as Teen Court Assistant • Assist student volunteers • Help to set up court rooms • Maintain paper work for trials • Collect paperwork • Review Cases

  6. Training • Completed a 16 hour program in Basic Mediation. • Two day program, eight hours per day. • Training Consisted of: • Review of mediation cases. • Role playing mediation cases. • Reviewing power point. • Mediation styles & Techniques.
