  1. INDUSTRIAL INSTALLATION PROJECT TO MANUFACTURE PLASTER & TILES GIAD INDUSTRIES

  2. THE RAW MATERIAL Gypsum is a very soft mineral composed of calcium sulfate dilydrate. Its deposits are known to occur in strata deposited from lake and sea water. Gypsum is used in a wide variety of applications outstanding among them being a plaster ingredient, gypsum boards or medical applications. Gypsum mineral Gypsum quarry

  3. THE QUARRY INTRODUCING YESOS MONRABAL SL Yesos Monrabal has been extracting gypsum rock since 1960 introducing innovations daily to match technical and quality requirments set by European & Spanish regulations and optimazing its procedures to make them environamental-friendly.

  4. REQUIERED EQUIPMENT To produce gypsum powder it is require the following: - Quarry - Diggers (2-3) - Lorries (2) - Production line (refining process) * Gross grind mill * Firing furnance * Fine grind mill * Silos (for powder stockage) * Packing line * Tankers - Some blowing up must be requiered

  5. PRODUCTION LINE Quarry (raw material) Extraction of rocks and transport until Refining process Gross grind mill Firing furnance Bulk selling (loaded on tankers) Silos (stockage) Fine grind mill Packaging in sacks

  6. Diggers are used to extract gypsum rock from the quarry and loaded it into lorries to be transported until the production line

  7. Gypsum rocks are at first grinded by a mill into smaller rocks before entering the furnance

  8. Production line scheme

  9. The mineral goes through a furnance to be fired

  10. After firing, the raw material goes through a second mill so as to be refine into a fine powder (plaster)

  11. The finished product is stocked in silos prepare to load tankers or to be packed in sacks for its sell.

  12. PLASTER POWDER USES: - Raw material for the production of plaster ceilings - Raw material for the production of gypsum boards - Finishing of endless ceilings and walls

  13. PLANT PERFORMANCES AND REQUIRMENTS - Yearly production: 60.000 Tons yearly - Labour force: 9 persons for the whole production line * 3 in the quarry * 3 in the production plant * 2 in sacking process * 1 supervisor - KWa: 400 KWa requested - Fuel consumption: 35 K/Ton - Plant square meters: 1.500 sqm (does not include quarry)

  14. REMOVABLE CEILINGS PRODUCTION INTRODUCING HERMANOS TOLEDANO SL Hermanos Toledano SL has been manufacturing plaster products used in the construction sector since 1975. The quality of our products, recognized by the best quality marks, is achieved and maintained by selecting the best gypsum and thanks to the know-how and expertise of our personnel without using any kind of mixture or additives. Our commitment with an ecologic and high quality product has lead us to have a wide range of customers and distributors in Spain and abroad.

  15. REQUIERED EQUIPMENT To produce plaster ceiling it is require the following: - Tiles 600x600 mm production line - Plaster rubber casts - Open crates for tiles drying - Forklifts (2 minimum – 2.500 Kg) - Packaging line (palets) - Warehouse - Drying area

  16. PRODUCTION LINE Tanker download into silo Mixer (plaster, water & Fiber glass) Filling of rubber plaster casts Rotary production line Stockage & Expedition Packaging Tiles natural drying Tile demolding & load of open crates

  17. Tanker downloading (raw material is stocked in silos)

  18. Mixer: plaster powder is mixed with water and fiber glass

  19. Mixer details

  20. Filling of plaster casts

  21. Rotatory production line: after filling the casts, an smooth vibration withdraws all air bubbles from the tile and the rotatory systems allows the tiles to harden before being demolded

  22. Demolding, polishing and leveling of the tiles

  23. Natural drying on open crates

  24. Packing (semi-authomatic procedure)

  25. Six tiles are wrapped on a cardboard and then laminated (plastic must be heated)

  26. Each palet contains 48 boxes (288 units) and is protected by a plastic wrapping and board edges

  27. Stockage on warehouse

  28. CEILINGS INSTALLATION

  29. Removable ceiling alongside plaster decoration

  30. PLANT PERFORMANCES AND REQUIRMENTS - Production (for 200 casts) 1.400-1.500 sqm/8 hours work - Labour force (per line): 4-5 persons + 2 persons for packaging - Kwa : 73 Kwa required for one production line - Water: 18.000 L/8 hours works - Plant square meters: depends on aimed production (drying area of at least 5.000 sqm and a warehouse of 3.000 sqm)

  31. Hermanos Toledano production plant

  32. Truck for inland shipment
