  1. Financial Planning Consumer Guides

  2. A guide? • This guide will be the major project during the timeline of this course • There is a section on my website dedicated to the project with the scoring guide

  3. The Guide… • A guide will be developed individually • Each guide will have: • Title Pages, and graphics • A Table of Contents • Sections for each chapter of study

  4. The chapters • Section 1 - The Financial Planning Process • Section 2 - Savings and Borrowing • Section 3 - Risk Management • Section 4 - Investment Choices • Section 5 - Retirement Planning • Section 6 - Taxes and Estate Planning (time permitting)

  5. First Chapter/Section • The first chapter was “The Financial Planning Process” • Utilize (From my website) “Steps of the Process” and “Financial Planning Principles” to create your chapter/section of your consumer guide

  6. Organization • On your ddhs server… • Keep a folder in your “Financial Planning” folder specifically for the development and organization of your consumer guide. • Personally, I would name the folder within your folder “Consumer Guide”

  7. How to get a good grade • Organization • Clarity • Creativity • Not a cut-n’-paste job from my presentations • Graphics and visuals • Run with it!
